Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll use your Level 2 LV Maintenance qualification and 2+ years of experience to diagnose faults and confidently fix issues on the spot.

You’ll start and end your day from home, operating a RAC van with full tools and a diagnostic kit. This role offers demand-led shifts, a 40-hour week and opportunities for overtime and progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Handle emergency breakdown support with confidence and care.
• Travel to calls from home and return home after shifts.
