Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and end each day at home, with a 40-hour week and optional overtime, using your Level 2 qualification and 2+ years of post-qualification experience.

A full UK driving licence is required, and you’ll be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• Customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish on your driveway; tackle calls with 40-hour weeks and occasional overtime.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members at the roadside.
