Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostic and repair work on the roadside across the UK. You will start and finish from home, with a RAC van, fuel card, and full kit provided to deliver fast, expert service to members in need.

You’ll use your LV maintenance skills, diagnose faults, and perform tyre/battery/repair work while upholding RAC service standards and member support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repairs, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
