Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work from home at the start and end of your day, with a RAC van, fuel card and diagnostic kit supplied to you, and you’ll be part of a 128-year trusted brand offering growth and rewards.

You’ll need NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, plus a full UK licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle faults ranging from flat batteries to tyre changes and complex diagnostics.
• Start and finish days from home with RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided.
