Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, and full uniform provided. Demand-led shifts average 40 hours per week with optional overtime, serving local members in your area.

You’ll bring Level 2 LV maintenance or 5+ years’ experience, a full UK licence, and a customer‑facing mindset to keep motorists safe and mobile on the road.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics across the UK
• Restore members' vehicles quickly with confident, on‑site solutions
• Provide emergency breakdown support and expert guidance to customers
