Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing from home with an RAC van and diagnostic kit.

You’ll handle a variety of call-outs, use your expertise to diagnose faults quickly, and deliver outstanding member service on every job, while adhering to safety and roadside protocols.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and vehicle diagnostics on demand.
• Start and end your day at home, using your RAC van and tools to assist members.
