Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division in the UK. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support while starting and finishing your day at home.

You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit to help you keep members moving. With 3+ years of relevant experience and a valid UK driving licence, you’ll work across local clusters and deliver outstanding member service in a fast-paced environment that rewards

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

Provide roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
Start and end your day at home with RAC van, fuel card and tools.
Deliver prompt, confident service and reassurance to members during breakdowns.
Work in local clusters covering areas like Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Waltham Abbey, Epping, Hoddesdon.
