Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division, delivering mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs, and provide confident solutions wherever RAC members need us most.

You’ll start and finish your day at home, operating from a supplied RAC van with a fuel card, uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• A customer-focused approach
• A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Handle faults and repairs with confidence and provide reassurance to RAC members
• You’ll start and end your day at home, with RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided
