Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician for the York cluster to deliver on‑the‑spot repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish at home with a provided RAC van and essential tools.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience, plus a full UK driving licence. OTE around £61k with overtime.

Qualifications

• Has Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• 2+ years' post-qualification technical experience.
• Customer-focused approach and driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Get members back on the road quickly with confidence.
