Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish from home, with shifts averaging about 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

You will have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) or 5+ years’ experience as a Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with few points. RAC provides a van, tools, fuel card, uniform and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day from home with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week.
