Job summary

RAC in the UK is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and perform expert roadside repairs. You'll work within the York cluster, starting and finishing at home, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

A Level 2 qualification and 2 years' post-qualification experience are required, plus a full UK driving licence. You'll earn a strong base salary of £36,400 with an achievable OTE of around £61,000, plus holidays, pension, breakdown cover and other RAC

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• Customer-focused approach and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end daily from home, tackling calls head-on with the RAC van and diagnostic kit.
