Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division, working across the York cluster and surrounding areas. You will start and finish from home, with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, plus a full UK driving licence, are required. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support, helping members get

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• Customer-focused approach
• A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults, perform tyre changes, battery replacements and other roadside repairs
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members in need
