Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician for the York cluster. You will use a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.

You’ll start and finish at home with a RAC van, fuel card and full uniform provided. The role offers £36,400 base salary with a realistic £61,000 OTE and a 40-hour week with overtime options.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• Customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Provide roadside repairs and diagnostics
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and finish your day at home and travel locally to calls
