Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside across the UK, based from home with tasks planned in the Cheltenham cluster area. You will work on faults, tyre or battery issues, and diagnostic tasks using provided tools and diagnostic kit.

The role requires Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience (or 5+ years as a Technician). A full UK licence with under 6 points is required, and you will join a renowned, long-established

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Troubleshoot faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently at the roadside
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassuring service to RAC members
