Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostics and repairs at the roadside, with shifts around 40 hours per week. You’ll start and finish at home, receive a RAC van, fuel card, tools, and full uniform to support quick, confident member service.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or 2+ years’ experience) or 5+ years’ experience, and a full UK driving licence with <6 points. OTE is strong and overtime is available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic acceptable.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Complete call-outs and ensure quick, confident solutions for members.
