Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish at home, covering local Exeter cluster areas and surrounding towns, with a focus on getting members back on the road promptly.

Candidates should have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day at home, with local area focus to get members back on the road.
• Use provided tools, diagnostic kit and RAC van to handle calls efficiently.
