Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our national patrol team. You’ll cover the Cheltenham cluster and surrounding towns, starting and finishing shifts from home as you get members back on the road.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence. You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit from day one, plus a strong

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving license with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Get members back on the road quickly through fault finding, tyre changes, battery work and other roadside fixes.
• Work from home base with local call-outs and demand-led shifts, around 40 hours per week.
