Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members across the UK. You will cover a Cheltenham cluster and surrounding areas, starting and finishing at home with a RAC van, tools, and fuel card provided.

Qualified candidates will have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certificate (or equivalent) with two years' experience, or five years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence (≤6 points).

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Respond to roadside calls and provide quick, confident solutions for members
• Start and finish each day at home and work locally to service members in your area
