Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing from home and working in a local area to help members return to the road.

You will have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is acceptable.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Carry out fault-finding and repairs at the roadside.
• Support members quickly and confidently to get back on the road.
