Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform automotive roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish each day from home with a 40-hour week and optional overtime, operating a RAC van equipped with tools and diagnostics.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, with a 40-hour average week and potential overtime.
• Use your tools, diagnostic kit and RAC van to help members get back on the road quickly.
