Job summary

The RAC in the United Kingdom seeks a Roadside Technician for the Cheltenham cluster. You will diagnose and repair vehicles roadside, delivering emergency breakdown support across your local area, using your Level 2 qualification and 2+ years of experience.

You’ll start and end your day at home, typically around 40 hours per week with optional overtime. You’ll be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit, contributing to trusted member service nationwide.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle faults, tyre changes and battery issues with quick, confident solutions.
• Start and end each day at home, with RAC van and gear provided.
