Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician across the UK. You’ll use a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience to diagnose faults and perform emergency roadside repairs.

You’ll start and finish at home with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit provided. Expect 40 hours weekly with overtime options and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Utilise tools and diagnostic kit to resolve faults and reassure members.
