Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and end at home, work on demand-led shifts, and receive a RAC van, fuel card and full uniform with diagnostic tools provided.

Applicants should hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and have at least 2 years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years experience
• 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic also accepted
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to roadside issues
• Use provided RAC van, tools and diagnostic kit to complete calls
