Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. You’ll work across the UK delivering roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support with a RAC van, tools and diagnostic kit supplied.

A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ experience are required, plus 5+ years in a vehicle‑tech role and a full UK driving licence with under 6 points. Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day at home, responding quickly to calls with your RAC van and diagnostic kit.
• Provide confident, customer‑facing service on faults, tyre changes, batteries and other roadside issues.
