Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician in the UK. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency support across the country, starting and finishing each day from home.

The role requires a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence with few points. You’ll be equipped with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when RAC members need it most
