Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs, and support members with breakdown needs from home to home, using provided RAC van, fuel card, and tools.

The role requires Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience, plus a full UK driving licence. OTE is strong and overtime is available.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years post-qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Manage on-call/shift-based workload with a 40-hour average week.
