Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to repair and diagnose vehicles at the roadside across the UK. You will start and finish from home, with shifts typically at around 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

You’ll service members efficiently, offer reassurance, and use a full kit of tools and a RAC van. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll be part of a trusted team delivering rapid, customer-focused support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and rapid fixes to restore mobility.
• Assist members with confident, safe vehicle solutions on the roadside.
