Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside across the UK, using your Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience to deliver quick repairs and first‑class member service. You’ll start and finish at home with demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours a week and optional overtime.

You’ll have your own RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is acceptable alternative
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside across the UK
• Provide quick, confident solutions and maintain high member service
• Deliver towing-free, reliable roadside support and diagnostics
