Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the UK. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, working primarily from home with a local driving area. You’ll carry out duties to get members back on the road quickly, using your diagnostic skills and customer-facing approach.

You’ll be supported with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit, while enjoying career growth within a trusted, 125-year-old organisation.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification with at least 2 years post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days at home and manage local-area calls.
