Job summary

RAC in the UK is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver diagnostics, roadside repairs and emergency breakdown support nationwide. You will handle faults on the roadside with confidence and communicate clearly with members to reassure them during breakdowns.

You’ll start and finish your day at home, with shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and optional overtime. RAC provides a van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit from day one to set you up for success.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• A full UK driving licence
• Customer-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs at the roadside to restore mobility
