Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the UK to perform diagnostic and mechanical roadside repairs. You’ll work from home, travel to calls, and rely on your Level 2 qualification or equivalent plus 2+ years of experience.

A full UK driving licence is required and you’ll be provided with a RAC van, tools, and a full uniform. Expect a market-competitive base salary with realistic OTE, generous holidays, and benefits as you support members on the roadside.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience or
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, manage calls head‑on, and use your training to reassure members.
• Utilise your RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit provided by RAC.
