Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll be diagnosed and repaired on roadside calls, offering expert mechanical support and reassuring customer service as you help members get back on the road across the UK.

You’ll work from home, cover local clusters, and use a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and diagnostic kit provided from day one. The role combines technical work with strong member service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Tackle challenges at the roadside with quick, confident solutions
