Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, delivering fast, confident solutions to members across the UK. You will work within our Patrol division, combining technical skill with excellent customer service.

You’ll start and end your day at home, supported by your own RAC van, fuel card and diagnostic kit, with a focus on getting members back on the road quickly in your local area.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, with a RAC van, fuel card and essential tools provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members when roadside assistance is required.
