Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division, covering the Harlow cluster and nearby towns. You’ll deliver diagnostics, roadside repairs and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing each day from home.

You’ll need a full UK driving licence and relevant experience (NVQ Level 2 or 5+ years as a technician). RAC provides a van, fuel card, uniform, tools and a supportive team with strong earning potential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, with RAC van and tools provided.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
