Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division, serving members across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs, with a day starting and ending at home and a RAC van, fuel card, and tools provided.

Based in the Harlow cluster and surrounding areas, you’ll help get members back on the road quickly while delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced, field-based role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
