Job summary

RAC is seeking a skilled Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll perform expert roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing each day from home and serving a defined local cluster.

You’ll use your technical expertise, stay calm under pressure and deliver outstanding member service on every call-out. RAC provides a van, tools and full uniform as part of the role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is acceptable.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, travelling to local areas to assist members.
• Utilise provided tools, diagnostic kit and RAC van to get jobs done efficiently.
