Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the UK, covering local clusters with a focus on getting members back on the road quickly. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs at the roadside and provide reassurance in stressful situations.

You’ll start and finish your day at home, equipped with an RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit. RAC offers a long heritage and strong team support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is required.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is required.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Start and end your day at home while tackling local roadside challenges.
• Operate with the RAC van, diagnostic kit and tools to fix issues quickly.
