Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division in the UK. You will deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, helping members get back on the road quickly.

You will start and finish from home, operating across a defined regional cluster with RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic tools provided to ensure you can respond rapidly to calls. A strong focus on service and safety is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• At least 2+ years’ hands‑on vehicle repair experience.
• Full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
• Start and end your day at home, with RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
