Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside across the UK. You will be part of a busy patrol division, delivering fast, confident fixes and top‑notch member service on every call-out.

You’ll start and finish at home with a RAC van, tools, and full uniform, working average 40 hours per week with optional overtime. A strong base salary accompanies a realistic OTE, with earnings boosted by bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on with the RAC van and tools provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
