Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members across the UK. You’ll deliver rapid, confident solutions and excellent service while working as part of a trusted roadside team.

You’ll start and end your day at home and will be provided with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit. The role offers a strong base salary and realistic OTE with overtime options.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and finish daily from home, with challenges addressed head-on and a focus on customer reassurance

Skills
