Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostic and roadside repair duties across the UK. You will diagnose faults, repair vehicles at the roadside, and support members with confident, quality service.

You’ll operate from your home base for daily start/finish, receive a RAC van, fuel card, tools and a diagnostic kit, and enjoy a strong base salary with achievable OTE through performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end shifts at home and service RAC members at the roadside.
• Use diagnostic tools and vehicle knowledge to offer quick, confident solutions.
