Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing each day from home with a RAC van and tools provided.

Expect 40-hour weeks with optional overtime, a competitive base pay, and realistic OTE through bonuses. You’ll be part of a long-standing UK service brand delivering confident, friendly assistance to members.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, with a RAC van provided.
• Shifts average 40 hours per week with optional overtime.
