Job summary

RAC in the UK is seeking a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ experience to diagnose and repair vehicles on the roadside, delivering fast, confident solutions for members in need.

You’ll start and finish at home with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit provided. Expect ~40 hours per week with optional overtime and an OTE around £60,000, plus a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members in need.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on with the right tools and support.
