RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick solutions, and help members stay on the move with confidence.

Join a structured development pathway, with hands-on learning and IMI accreditation opportunities, while working locally from the Chelmsford cluster and returning home each day.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road.
• Combine technical expertise with excellent customer service while working to resolve issues.
