Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work on varied problems, building skills through structured development and IMI accreditation opportunities.

Join a team delivering safe, reliable service with a strong base salary (£36,400) and a realistic on-target earnings (OTE) of about £61,000, plus overtime potential and benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK
• Provide emergency breakdown support and fast, confident solutions
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely
