Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and support members across the UK. You’ll work independently, handle diagnostic tasks and deliver quick, confident solutions on the roadside.

The role offers strong development, a structured pathway, accredited IMI options and a pay package including a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000 through bonuses and overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs to get members back on the move.
• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and provide quick, confident solutions.
