Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, repair vehicles and help members continue their journeys safely, with support for ongoing development and accreditation.

Starting with a structured pathway, you’ll gain hands-on learning, IMI-accredited training and the opportunity to grow within a long-standing, member-focused organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs across the UK.
• Provide fast, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and support members' journeys.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly.
