Job summary

RAC in the UK is seeking a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years' experience. You’ll deliver rapid roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the country. You’ll start and end your day at home, with a RAC van, diagnostic kit, and tools provided.

Demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime. The role offers a strong base salary and a realistic OTE, plus benefits and career development

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home as you tackle roadside challenges with your RAC van and diagnostic kit.
