Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll use an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ hands-on experience to deliver rapid roadside repairs, diagnostics, and breakdown support.

You’ll start and finish at home, with a RAC van, tools, fuel card, and uniform provided, tackling diverse calls and delivering excellent member service. Expect 40 hours per week on demand, with overtime options.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
