Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician who will perform expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK. Start and finish each day from home, with a RAC van, fuel card, and full uniform provided.

You’ll need an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience and a full UK driving licence with under 6 points, plus 5+ years’ experience as a technician. Training begins from day one, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle fault diagnostics, tyre changes, battery issues, and other roadside challenges.
